Blazin Ravenz took a tour of the FSU Football Facility this year while the football team prepared to take on Alabama in the first game of the season. The purpose of the tour was to show our athletes what they could achieve if they committed themselves to their education. During the tour Coach Tite gave a passionate speech to the athletes and parents about us starting to invest more in our kids educations than we do in athletics.
Coach also emphasized that the Blazin Ravenz Track Club would not just be an organization, but that we (Parents, athletes and coaches) would need to start being more focused on academics going forward as he envisions the track club being a “PROGRAM” which places a focus on academics and excelling in track & field; not one without the other.
The tour was an eye-opener for all and well deserved by the Ravenz family. The next day our athletes went out to the track and FSU and put on a show for all the spectators at the State meet to show everyone that they heard the message loud and clear.
